CEDEPP, a 501C non-profit organization, is a pioneer in the Caribbean in integrating psychological services with Pet-Assisted Therapeutic Intervention programs and alternative therapies such as Reiki. With over 20 years of experience, we have rescued, rehabilitated, and certified pets to become a fundamental part of our therapeutic treatments. Our focus is not only on the emotional and physical health of animals, but also on improving the quality of life of people experiencing stressful situations.
Our vision focuses on educating the public about the benefits of the human-animal relationship and the healing impact animals can have on human lives. We promote awareness about animal abuse and cruelty, and we work to instill healthy values in children and families through integration with animals. We also offer counseling for addictions and other emotional and physical issues to support the healing and holistic well-being of our beneficiaries.

We strive to certify and integrate homeless animals as emotional support animals and service dogs. This involves establishing rigorous standards for behavior, training, and registration to ensure these animals can provide the necessary support to individuals facing emotional or physical challenges.
CEDEPP is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned animals, but also leads comprehensive initiatives to improve people's mental and emotional health through therapeutic interaction with animals and complementary services such as Reiki and the distribution of essential foodstuffs to low-income families, through our alliance with the PR Food Bank.
